ALMA NYC is a theatrically driven company of dancers, singers, musicians, and visual artists in New York City. In a stereotypically challenging and competitive industry, ALMA strives to foster a sense of community and support for performers. In addition to local and international outreach projects, ALMA has had the privilege of performing at Symphony Space, Paul Taylor Theater, Manhattan Movement Arts Center, The Actors Home, and in the heart of Times Square, to name a few. A native of the Republic of Georgia, now based in New York City, Nini Shermadini studied classical vocals and classical piano for over a decade. She has participated and placed in numerous competitions throughout Europe. Recent accolades include being named winner of the TV competitions “10 + 10” (Armenia) and “X Factor” (Greece), as well as being a finalist in Georgia's “Georgian Idol”. Her solo album “First Step” was released 2007. More:
N'Kenge made her Broadway debut in “Sondheim on Sondheim”, her West End debut in “The Genius of Ray Charles”, and her New York City Opera debut in “The Mother of Us All”. She appeared in “3 Mo Divas”, “Aida” by Elton John and Tim Rice, and in the world tour of the “Michael Jackson Tribute Show”. She has performed for Presidents Obama and Clinton, at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and starred in her own one-woman show “DivaLicious”, to name but a few. From opera to rap, N’Kenge’s musical repertoire covers 11 languages. She is currently appearing in “Motown: The Musical” on Broadway. More:
Fast rising solo artist/songwriter Dan Reardon currently juggles four non-exclusive publishing deals. The blend of poignantly personal lyrics and soaring choruses on the upcoming EP “Can You Hear Me Now?” follows a revelatory love, loss, and, ultimately, personal triumph narrative. Counting the storied Dave Matthews Band among his strongest musical influences, Dan Reardon's own first successful band was Soundside, focusing on modern pop-rock, recording and opening for such diverse artists as Berlin, Days Of The New, The Tubes, and the New York Dolls. A regular favorite with CFW audiences, this singer/songwriter and former child model describes both her musical and personal style as "victorian and vintage with a rock & roll twist." At age 10 she sang on the “Steve Allen Show” and has gone on to a successful musical career, including four years with Les Paul, which included All Star concerts on both coasts with the legendary guitarist. She has shared the stage with many major artists including Lisa Loeb, guesting on the hit TV show, “Gossip Girl”. Reagan writes and directs her music videos, with her latest co-starring Billy Burnette, former Fleetwood Mac singer/guitarist. More:
Angeles Dominguez has been an accomplished songwriter for more than a decade composing music and lyrics for many well-known artists in her native country of Spain. Her compositions cover a wide array of musical styles, and she has also composed songs for commercials and other events. In 2009 Ms. Dominguez launched her own singing career with the release of “Dejame” which quickly reached the top of the music charts. More:
Ryan Raffloer & Shelby Joy Cole
Dancer, actor and model Ryan Raffloer has been in the entertainment business for more than 10 years, acting in many movies, TV, and Off-Broadway shows, as well as modeling in several runway shows. A talented and hard-working ballroom dancer, Ryan’s big dream is to a high level of dancing in Latin and European programs, and hopes to become a World Champion one day. Shelby Joy Cole did competitive gymnastics for 8 years, and then went on to pursue ballet. She studied at the Professional Performing Arts School, trained at American Ballroom Theater, and danced ballet at Manhattan Youth Ballet. She is currently training at Alvin Ailey.
Hailed as “a voice to remember” for his performance at The Rockwall Music Festival, award-winning bass-baritone LaMarcus Miller has sung numerous leading and supporting operatic roles and made his musical theatre debut as The Beast in “Beauty and the Beast” in 2011. He has performed with Utah Festival Opera, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Texas A & M Chorale, and at Carnegie Hall, among many other appearances.
Tenor David Paez has performed in prestigious theaters in his native Mexico and has sung lead tenor roles in many famous works. He is the first tenor to sing at fashion shows and pageants produced by ViveLaModa TV, creating a new concept in the fashion and beauty sphere. David is currently touring Mexico and Latin America proudly serving as ambassador of contemporary as well as pre-Hispanic Mexican culture and identity. He is the first tenor to sing extensively in the indigenous language of Nahuatl, dressed in the costume of the Aztec god Huitzilopochtli. More:
One of the most accomplished and innovative guitarists performing today, Serge Khrichenko is a graduate of the prestigious Rimsky Korsakov Music College in St. Petersburg, Russia. After working as a professional composer and performer with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic for more than 10 years, he is continuing his experiments in classical, jazz and rock music in the USA, performing at the Russian and French Embassies, the Kennedy Center and Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, as well as local and international jazz and guitar fests. Serge has extensive experience composing for chamber orchestras, jazz-rock bands and fashion shows. More:
Dancer Lindsey Sagrera began ballet at age 8 and has spent summers training with Ballet Austin, Ballet Chicago, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. She currently dances in the company of Lafayette Ballet Theatre in such acclaimed works as “Coppelia”, “Cinderella”, and “The Nutcracker”. She plans to continue expanding her repertoire and has intentions of exploring other genres of dance performance.
